Freshwater aquarium
Hi Forummembers,
I'm from the netherlands, so please don't argue about my language.
I just started my Edge this weekend. This is a random photo, I will post better in time.

I leave this aquarium for 3 weeks and then I will buy my fishes, if the watervalues are good.
Now I'm thinking about the fish I want.
I love to have a male and female Tateurndina ocellicauda.
To eat the algae, i just want to add two Otocinclus macrospilus. (or is it better to buy a shrimp, I like the Caridina dennerli)
If the NO2/NO3 are still OK after adding this fish I want to add a group of 6 Rasbora Galaxy.
What do you think?

Re: Freshwater aquarium
Hi,
welcome to the FEF!
Your stocking would be at the max - instead of the ottos, go for a group of 6 shrimp. Other than that, it's fine.
The tank looks great and I'm looking forward to seeing some more pics as it develops!

Thank you for your fast respond.
I will look for shrimps instead of the oto, or do you think there is a other small algae eating fish which would fit in the Edge with the Tateurndina ocellicauda ?
First I was thinking instead of the rasboras to take some pseudomugil gertrudae or the Iriatherina werneri.
A lot of people say that my aquarium is too small for those kind of fish.

pseudomugil gertrudae
I have 6 pseudomugil gertrudae on order along with some CPD's (Celestial Pearl Danio's) - From what I have learned the P. gertrudae are a beautiful and fun fish to raise. You could have 5-6 P. gertrudae's and 2 oto's along with a few shrimp as long as you do water changes and watch your water parameters.
good luck with the Edge and give us an update.

pseudomugil gertrudae
@ Igolf 2
That's funny, because first i wanted to have the pseudomugil gertrudae instead of the rasbora galaxy.
Also 6 pieces, 2 male and 4 female. But at all the forums i went people got angry about this choice.
The fish are small, only 3cm, but they need a lot of swimmingspace. So then i decide to change the 'group' fish.
But now I have my doubts again

@Edger The "gerts" are doing great!! Active, happy, eating well, and chasing the CPD's and having fun picking at the snails to watch them fall off the glass. So far so good - really fun fish to watch.
