New Fluval Edge has LED lights, as does the MkI version.
Hagen have now started publicising their two new Fluval Edges, see ... Practical Fishkeeping
The new 46 litre version has LEDs as does the update on the current 23 litre one. These LEDs are also apparently suitable for retro-fitting into the current Fluval Edge with it's (hot) halaogen lamps.
Does anyone know when and where these LED lamps will be avaiable and how much they will cost?
Thanks,
Ricky

Hi Ricky,
You can get the official Edge LEDs at SeaPets. They cost £21.99 for the pair.
Post some pics when you can!

Hi Magister,
Are these LED bulbs completely compatible with the existing Fluval Edge Mk1 halogen light power supply adaptor, which outputs 1.680A at 12V?
Also, are the new LED bulbs fully condensation/water proof?
Thanks,
RickO2

Rick,
the LEDs have been developed by Fluval (Hagen) and are intended as a direct replacement for the MK1 halogens. They have the same MR11 fitting and they are totally sealed and waterproof in the same way as the original halogens. Both of the new Edges come with LED lighting bars.

Magister,
That's good to hear and thanks for a quick response.
Do you know if the new replacement LEDs for the Mk1 Edge will be on sale in any shops in Central Scotland, or ar they only available Mail Order from SeaPets?
Thanks,
Ricky

Re: New Fluval Edge has LED lights, as does the MkI version.
You can't buy the lighting arms as standalone products. Contacting Hagen UK may also prove to be a dead end. I've contacted them for spares before and was told that they don't actually manufacture the Edge so don't stock any spares.
You could replace the power whole power supply with a new, 12V transformet from ebay. You would have to remove the lighting arm, split the original power cable and thread some new cable into the arm, solder or use connector blocks and put the arm back together. At the same time you could hook up some extra LED flexistrips in series to give a lighting boost.
If the above isn't an option, trawl Ebay for spares as they sometimes come up from broken tanks.

I think eBay is the cheapest possible place, because these LED factories are pretty much selling them directly.
I got 3 from this company... really bright and it uses Cree LED's. love the design of it.
