Does anyone find that water levels drop really fast in their tanks due to evaporation?

10% water change on a tank with such a small water capacity sounds far too little to me. I will be doing 20% every second day. Contrary to a lot of opinions on the internet this does no harm to the beneficial bacteria, as that is not in the water column, but on all the surfaces within the tank, rocks, substrate, etc as well as the filter media.
All the water changes do is keep the water in optimal condition for the fish.
Each water change is done with dechlorinated water prepared 24 hours in advance and safestart added after the water change.
The fish thrive in the clean water.

I think it depends on how high you set your temp/heater. I don't seem to notice any more condensation/evaporation compared to my 36 gallon tank.

My tank is currently on day 13 of a fishless/ammonia cycle and its set to 80 degrees with the hopes of my Betta going in probably another 10 days or so.
